The trial for the killing of a Turkish anti-coup soldier, who has been idolized for his resistance during a raid on the Special Forces Command in Ankara before he was killed by coup plotting soldiers, has started.

A major new art installation project in Turkey's largest city will "draw attention to Istanbul from all around the world," organizers have claimed.

Istanbul's streets will host a number of modern art projects, running from November until February 2016.

To celebrate its 10th year, the Contemporary Istanbul (CI) will host an event at the New Museum in New York on May 18. The New Museum is a staple in New York's contemporary art scene, located in a groundbreaking building in New York's Nolita district on the Bowery. 

Ankara's contemporary art gallery, Siyah Beyaz, will be exhibiting CI Editions art works on April 24 and 25.
