Alpha Bank raised 400 million euros on Wednesday through the issue of an Additional Tier 1 bond with a coupon of 11.875%, a rate lower than initial market estimates.

Court ruling spells end for broadcaster Mega
In a ruling issued by the Council of State on Friday, it rejected an appeal by private television channel Mega against a decision by the National Broadcasting Council (ESR) to suspend the indebted channel's operation.
Responding to the appeal by Mega and 112 employees, the court noted that a law passed last year dictates that channels must have a license in order to operate.

TV regulator publishes final list of winners in licensing tender
Greece's broadcasting regulator, the National Council for Radio and Television (NCRTV), published on Wednesday its final list of media companies that will receive one of the five 10-year nationwide broadcasting licenses, following a meeting of its board.
ATHEX: Trading volume sinks to 16 mln euros
August dawned on the Greek bourse with a return to poor trading volume on Wednesday. Still, the Athens Exchange (ATHEX) benchmark ended in the black after earlier losses were offset during the closing auctions.
The ATHEX general index ended at 761.66 points, adding 0.06 percent to Tuesday's 761.23 points.

Trading volume sinks to 16 mln euros
August dawned on the Greek bourse with a return to poor trading volume on Wednesday. Still, the Athens Exchange (ATHEX) benchmark ended in the black after earlier losses were offset during the closing auctions.
The ATHEX general index ended at 761.66 points, adding 0.06 percent to Tuesday's 761.23 points.

Five TV channels granted temporary broadcasting permit, one rejected
Greece's broadcasting regulator, the National Council for Radio and Television (ESR), approved on Wednesday the applications of five media companies to receive a temporary nationwide broadcasting license, following a meeting of its board.
Six media firms apply for TV permits, Mega stays out
Representatives of six media companies submitted applications on Thursday to the National Broadcasting Council (ESR) in Athens for a forthcoming tender for private television licenses.
The six applications were from the companies representing Skai, Star, Alpha, ANT1 and Epsilon and from a firm called Tileoptiki Elliniki.
ATHEX: Week ends with gains of 3.4 pct
Stocks in the Greek bourse continued their ascent on Friday, supported by the significant decline recorded in bond yields. The main index advanced for the 13th time in the last 15 sessions with total gains that exceed 12 percent.

ATHEX: Bourse index climbs above 800-pt mark
In its last session before the Christmas break, the benchmark of the Greek bourse topped 800 points in the closing auctions, on a day dominated by packages concerning stakes in National Bank, Eurobank and OTE.

ATHEX: Bourse benchmark gains over 10 pct in May
The notable growth recorded during Tuesday's trading session, which saw the benchmark climb above the 650-point mark for a few hours, was reversed by a late selling spree in banks, although the main index still ended the session with gains. Trading volume was particularly high, mainly thanks to the MSCI index rebalancing.
