Spanish agricultural drama ’Alcarras’ wins Berlin film fest
The 72nd Berlin film festival awarded its Golden Bear top prize on Feb. 16 to Spanish director Carla Simon's semi-autobiographical drama "Alcarras," about a family of peach farmers fighting for their future.

"Rabiye Kurnaz vs George W. Bush" is one of 18 movies from around the world vying for the Berlinale film festival's Golden Bear top prize, to be awarded on Feb. 16.

Free screenings, workshops with respected figures involved in the creative and technical sides of filmmaking, seminars and a concert make up the program at this year's Film Factory, an event dedicated to the art and craft of cinema. The event is organized by the Goethe Institute, the Greek Film Academy and the Onassis Cultural Center and runs through December 11.

Gurvinder Singh to open Auteur Film Festival on Friday
BELGRADE - Indian film director Gurvinder Singh will open the 22nd Auteur Film Festival at Dom omladine in Belgrade Friday evening.
The festival program will consist of 82 films, while the main program will bring 22 films 12 of which will be competing for the festival's Aleksandar Sasa Petrovic Grand Prix.
