Five-time Grammy award-winning Beninese-French singer, songwriter and activist Angelique Kidjo comes to Athens on November 20 as part of her latest tour celebrating her 40-year career.

The 2024 Grammy Awards will feature new honors including for Best African Music Performance, the Recording Academy announced on June 13.

Along with the prize honoring a recording that uses "unique local expressions from across the African continent," the 66th edition of the prestigious music awards will present a trophy to Best Alternative Jazz Album and Best Pop Dance Recording.

Music's legends and hitmakers turned out on April 1 to honor Joni Mitchell, the Canadian-born folk icon behind classics including "A Case Of You," at a charity gala that featured moving tributes and glassy eyes.

Called “Africa’s premier diva” and “the undisputed Queen of African Music,” Angelique Kidjo will take the stage July 14 at Feriye Restaurant in Ortaköy. The concert will be organized as part of the 21st Istanbul Jazz Festival.
