Come-back Greens beat PAOK and rise to the summit

Panathinaikos came from behind to beat PAOK in Athens and climb to the top of the table at least for 24 hours, that is until hitherto leader Olympiakos visits Panetolikos on Monday.

The first big game of 2025 took place behind closed doors, due to a stadium ban, but even so the Greens managed to beat champion PAOK 2-1 with a goal on the 90th minute.

Reds top at the regular season halfway point

Olympiakos has made the most of the points that PAOK, Panathinaikos and Aris dropped, opening a three-point distance at the top of the Super League table on Sunday with its road win at OFI.

The Reds defeated their Cretan host 2-0 at Iraklio with goals from Giulian Biancone and Chiqinho and finished first at the halfway point of the regular season.

Olympiakos trounces AEK and leads table on its own

Olympiakos thrashed AEK 4-1 in Sunday's derby to go alone on top of the Super League table, as Aris suffered a shock loss at home to Volos. PAOK and Panathinaikos follow the leader through hard-fought road wins.

Ayoub El Kaabi scored a hat trick and Gelson Martins added the fourth goal as the Reds eclipsed their visitors who had equalized with Anthony Martial.

AEK: Anthony Martial announced – “AEK is an opportunity for me”

Anthony Martial is officially a player of AEK. The French forward, who had a stellar career at Manchester United, arrived in Athens on Wednesday night, underwent medical tests on Thursday, and was then announced by the club.

He signed a three-year contract, valid until the summer of 2027.

Former Man Utd forward Martial joins AEK Athens

Former France forward Anthony Martial, who left Manchester United in June after nine years at the club, has joined AEK Athens, the top-flight club has said.

The 28-year-old has signed for the 13-times Greek champions on a free transfer and will earn 2.5 million pounds (€2.96 million) per season, making him one of AEK's highest earners, British media reports said.
