Bulgaria Blacklists Companies, Individuals After US Graft Sanctions

The Finance Ministry said the companies and individuals might be affected in the near future by the US's Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act, which freezes the assets of people linked to corruption and human rights abuses and bars them from entering the US.

Caretaker Fin Minister: Government Has Written Off BGN 10 Billion in Non-collected Revenues
For the period 2017-2020, Bulgarian revenue agencies have written off tax liabilities of over BGN 10 billion. For previous periods the amount is similar. This became clear from the second press conference of the caretaker Minister of Finance Asen Vassilev.
According to the Minister, about BGN 2-3 billion in uncollected taxes are written off every year.
Caretaker Cabinet Says Elections Will Cost BGN 57 Million
