Several Bulgarian politicians have extended their congratulations to the nation on the occasion of Unification Day.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has formalized a coalition agreement with 15 left-wing parties to jointly participate in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for October 27. The coalition, known as "BSP United Left," may also see the addition of more political formations before the elections.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) National Council has expelled former party leader Kornelia Ninova, along with Georgi Svilenski, Ivan Chenchev, and Krum Donchev. The decision, made at a plenum in Sofia, was supported by 105 votes in favor, 16 against, and 4 abstentions.

The new government of Bulgaria is merely a continuation of the previous one, according to Tsoncho Ganev, the deputy chairman of the "Revival" party, who expressed a lack of trust in the newly formed administration during an interview with BNR. One major concern highlighted by Ganev is the appointment of the new Minister of Internal Affairs.

Atanas Zafirov, the interim chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), addressed the crowd at Buzludzha, where the 133rd anniversary of the organized socialist movement in Bulgaria was being celebrated. Despite former leader Kornelia Ninova's absence, notable figures like Georgi Parvanov, Maya Manolova, and Rumen Petkov were in attendance.

The Sofia City Court has removed Kornelia Ninova from her position as chairwoman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and as the party's official representative, replacing her with Atanas Zafirov in an interim capacity.

"We Continue the Change" (WCC) has declared its decision not to participate in government negotiations within Bulgaria's 50th National Assembly. The stance, affirmed by the party's National Council and endorsed at a meeting of WCC deputies, reflects a firm rejection of engaging in talks for a third government term.

"In this challenging moment, we face two paths: one is to remain passive bystanders, comfortably assuming an opposition role that holds no influence. The other path is to actively engage in these processes, guided by realism and a sober recognition of our electoral outcome.

Atanas Zafirov has been elected as the temporary chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP). The decision was made by the National Council of the BSP, with 104 votes in favor and 3 abstentions. This election follows the resignation of the previous party chairwoman, Kornelia Ninova, who stepped down due to poor election results.

Atanas Zafirov, a member of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leadership and newly elected MP, revealed to Nova TV that the left-wing party is open to backing a government devoid of political figures, including a hypothetical Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
