Turkish jewelry producers aim to increase their exports by 30 percent to $3.5 billion this year by focusing on new markets, after seeing decreases of around 15 percent in year-on-year exports in 2015 amid the loss of one of their key markets, Russia.  

Turkey?s gold jewelry exports to Iran rose sharply from around $1.83 million in the first half of 2014 to $453 million in the same period this year, according to data compiled by the Turkish Statistics Agency (TÜ?K). 

The 40th International Jewelry Show kicked off March 12 in Istanbul, bringing together jewelry industry professionals and purchasers from around the world.
