US, Russia jointly set Feb 27 as date for Syria cessation of hostilities
The United States and Russia has announced in a written statement Feb. 27 as date for Syria cessation of hostilities.
Military actions, including airstrikes by Syria, Russia and the U.S.-led coalition, will continue against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Nusra Front and other "terrorist" groups, the statement read.

Tsipras to meet with US President Obama in New York
Greek PM Alexis Tsipras landed in New York, early Sunday to take part in the 70th United Nations Annual Assembly. During his 6-day stay in the US, the Greek PM hopes to gain the support of the US in an effort to promote a better deal for the enormous Greek debt.
Ankara informs world leaders on military operations against PKK and ISIL

Thousands Join NY Climate March Ahead of UN Climate Summit
A march to raise awareness about the dangers of climate change drew thousands to the streets of New York City Sunday, with similar protests taking place around the world.
More than 300,000 people marched through the streets of NY in what organizers called the largest climate-change demonstration in history.
