President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on May 12 handed Turkish citizen identity cards to Bana Alabed, the 7-year-old "Syrian Twitter girl" who attracted the world's attention while tweeting from war-torn Aleppo, and her family.

Bana Alabed, the 7-year-old "Syrian Twitter girl" who attracted the world's attention while tweeting from war-torn Aleppo, has told Turkish media she loves peace, confidence and the snow in the country.

BELGRADE - Recently, the social media page of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan published a photo showing Aleppo Twitter girl Bana Alabed and her family at a reception at the presidential palace in Ankara. However, social media users have uploaded evidence pointing to the fact that Bana's father is allegedly linked to terrorists.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted on Dec. 21 the seven-year-old "Syrian Twitter girl" Bana Alabed who has attracted the world's attention while tweeting from war-torn Aleppo, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Erdoğan hosted Bana and her family in the Presidential Palace in Ankara.  

Seven-year-old Bana Alabed, who has attracted the world's attention while tweeting from war-torn Aleppo, was evacuated from the divided Syrian city of Aleppo on Dec. 19, a Turkish NGO announced on social media.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Dec. 14 replied to a tweet shared from the account of a seven-year-old Syrian girl Bana Alabed, who has attracted the world's attention while tweeting from war-torn Aleppo.
