National chairman of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Ludovic Orban said on Thursday that possible partners with whom the Liberals could form a parliamentary majority after the election are the Save Romania Union (USR), the People's Movement Party (PMP) and the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR).

A court ruling confirming former president Basescu's links to the communist-era secret police has reopened unhealed wounds in a country where countless others also collaborated.

The court decision in the case of Liviu Dragnea is a symbolic decision of condemning from a legal point of view a political action - the suspension of the former President and the referendum, Social Democratic Party (PSD) Chairman Victor Ponta said on Friday.

Prime Minister Victor Ponta told B1 TV private broadcaster on Sunday evening that he accepted the resignation of Darius Valcov from Finance Minister office, but asked him to complete the new Tax Code, and that he also informed President Klaus Iohannis about that.
