Investments in Turkey mobilized by the Turkish American  Business Association (TABA/AmCham) in the first quarter of 2017 are expected to reach $350 million, the head of the association said on Feb. 22.

Turkey's bilateral economic and trade relations with the United States will fare better than they did over the past four or five years when U.S. President-elect Donald Trump takes office in early 2017, according to the head of the Turkish-American Business Association-U.S. Chamber of Commerce (TABA-AmCham). 

There has been no change in U.S. companies' investment plans in Turkey since the failed July 15 coup attempt, said the head of the Turkish-American Business Association-U.S. Chamber of Commerce (TABA-AmCham), adding that the companies were now working on completing procedures to realize $350 million worth of investments. 

The Turkish-American Business Association American Chamber of Commerce (TABA/AmCham) will start to work for the establishment of a Turkish-American university with a focus on IT technologies education in 2016, the new president of the association has said. 

Bora Gürçay, the Motorola Turkey country manager responsible for all Motorola Turkey operations, has been named the new president of the Turkish-American Business Association American Chamber of Commerce (TABA/AmCham). 

Gürçay, who was elected unanimously in the general board meeting, will hold the position for the next two years, the organization said in a written statement.
