Ljubljana – The National and University Library (NUK) in Ljubljana will put on show on Tuesday portraits Melita Vovk (1928-2020) drew of a number of Slovenian writers and participants in PEN international meetings of writers in Slovenia’s Bled.

Zagreb – Slovenian literature will be in focus as the 9th Festival of World Literature gets under way in Zagreb on Sunday evening. Singer songwriter and author Zoran Predin is to appear at the opening ceremony.

The festival will feature several Slovenian authors among many literary stars from a total of 16 countries, including Belarusian Nobel Prize winner Svetlana Alexievich.
