47 injured after bus carrying soldiers overturns in Turkey's Samsun 

Some 46 soldiers and one civilian were injured on June 9 when a passenger bus overturned in the Black Sea province of Samsun, Doğan News Agency has reported.

The bus overturned in the Kavak district after driver Zehni Kasar lost control of steering while carrying soldiers to the Çarşamba Airport from the nearby Tokat province.  

Three workers killed due to collapse of mosque construction in Turkey's Samsun

Three workers were killed and three were injured due to the collapse of an under-construction mosque in the Black Sea province of Samsun on April 29, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The collapse occurred in Samsun's Atakum district around noon on April 29.

Ambulances and rescue crews were dispatched to the area after the incident.

MHP dissident politician Sinan Oğan says he escaped assassination attempt

Opposition Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) dissident politician Sinan Oğan said on April 9 that he escaped an assassination attempt during a visit to the Bafra district of the Black Sea province of Samsun, while the district governor denied, saying he was exaggerating the incident.
