After leaders of the Serbian Orthodox Church again expressed a wish to move the remains of the scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla from his Belgrade museum, a group called "Leave Tesla Alone" has vowed to prevent any such attempt - as it did once before.

While experts praise Macedonian parties for promising an increase in the minimum monthly wages as a social step in the right direction, they warn that promises of major hikes in average pay rates depend more on economic factors than on politicians' election-time promises.

Macedonia's government proposed a rebalanced budget that enters parliament procedure on Thursday, which foresees increased spending of ?85 million and increased revenue of ?58 million.

The total budget tops ?3 billion, the biggest sum in 25 years of independence.
