The trial of Danko Vladicic, a Bosnian Serb who is accused of the murders of Bosniak civilians Ramo and Tima Vranjaca at their home near Foca on August 18, 1992, opened at Belgrade Higher Court on Thursday.

Marko Grabovac, president of the Association for the Search for Missing Persons in Bosanski Brod Municipality, told BIRN that none of the 80 people who disappeared in the Brod area in northern Bosnia during the war and are still missing have been found in the past two years.

He was indicted for the kidnapping and abuse of a minor girl from Brzi Brod. The first-instance verdict was publicly announced in the High Court shortly after 11 a.m., in the presence of the family of the injured minor as well as numerous journalists.
