The Turkish national football team settled for a frustrating 3-3 draw against Latvia on March 30 in a 2022 FIFA World Cup European Group G qualifying match.

Turkey scored the opener in the second minute as Kenan Karaman found the net with a left-foot strike in the area.

A strong Beşiktaş will seek a first away win since 2005 against Fenerbahçe, another title challenger that suffered a bad start to the season, in the first derby game of the year on Sept. 23.

Başakşehir won 2-0 at Karabükspor away, while defending champion Beşiktaş beat visiting Antalyaspor 3-0. 
Galatasaray, meanwhile, lost 1-0 at home to struggling Trabzonspor on Oct. 22.

Fenerbahçe was determined not to go down in the title race without a fight, both literally and figuratively, as the last minutes of their 2-2 draw away at Ba?ak?ehirspor, which gave archrival Galatasaray the league title, ended with a spree of red cards and two Fener players dangerously kicking their rivals.
