Some 111,000 tourists visit Uçhisar Castle
Around 111,000 people have visited Uçhisar Castle, considered the world's tallest natural skyscraper located at the summit of Cappadocia, in the first half of the year, the local municipality has announced.
According to the information obtained from Uçhisar Municipality, approximately 111,000 local and foreign tourists visited Uçhisar Castle in the January-June period.

Space enthusiasts to gather on Zerzevan Castle
A metal monolith erected some time ago for the promotion of Turkey's space program at a point close to Göbeklitepe with the phrase "Look at the sky, see the moon" has appeared once again in Diyarbakır's Zerzevan Castle.

This time the monolith was erected for the promotion of the Sky Observation Event, which will be held in the historical castle on Sept. 2 and 4.

Paralympic Games – Bronze Triantaphyllou in sabre
The bronze medal in sabre at the Tokyo Paralympic Games was won by Panos Triantafyllou. The Greek champion prevailed 15-6 over the French athlete Vallet and secured the first medal for the Greek team.
Triantafyllou made an excellent run and in the semifinals was defeated 15-9 by the Polish athlete Castle.

Biggest Floating Castle festival brings touch of magic
Ljubljana – Snežnik Castle will host Floating Castle, four days of music, dance, theatre and more in what is the largest festival in its nine-year history. A magical outdoor location under Mount Snežnik in south-western Slovenia will come alive with more than 120 musical groups and 400 artists from around the globe from 22 to 25 July.
