Removal from ‘gray list’ expected to boost foreign investments
The Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) decision to remove Türkiye from its "gray list" is likely to give a boost to inflow of foreign investments into the country, according to experts and analysts.
On June 28, FATF announced that it dropped Türkiye from the "gray list" of countries that require special scrutiny.
Massive fire destroys luxurious dwelling in Izmir
Firefighters bought the massive fire that broke out on April 27 in one of the most luxurious dwellings in the western province of İzmir under control after eight hours of strenuous efforts.
Seven people got injured in the fire that gutted 40 houses in one block of the dwelling in just two hours.

digitalSSM publishes its first e-book
Sakıp Sabancı Museum's digitalSSM Archive and Research Space has published its first e-book titled "Technological Arts Preservation."
The book, edited by Sabancı University's faculty members Selçuk Artut and Cemal Yılmaz, as well as Osman Serhat Karaman, the director of the digitalSSM, offers international content on its subject matter.

Dog waits for sick owner in front of hospital
A dog named "Boncuk" has been waiting in front of a hospital in the Black Sea province of Trabzon where its owner has been getting treatment for a week.
"The dog comes here every day at around 9 in the morning, waits until the evening, and then leaves. It never comes inside, but waits for its owner [outside]," said Muhammet Akdeniz, a security at the hospital.

Locals want historical Aydınlar church to reopen for religious tourism
The residents of Atalar village in the Black Sea province of Gümüşhane's Torul district have demanded from the authorities to renovate and reopen the Aydınlar Church like the Sümela Monastery in nearby Trabzon province.
