Recession risks in Europe pose threats to local auto sector, says OSD head

Worst is over for the Turkish automotive industry in terms of supply problems but now recession risks in Europe pose challenges to local carmakers, said Cengiz Eroldu, president of the Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD), calling for measures to boost demand in local market.

Turkey-based automotive giant set to sell new sedan to America

Tofa?, a joint venture of Turkey's Koç Holding and Italy's Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), is set to sell the Fiat Aegea sedan to the Americas.  

The Fiat Aegea, which is manufactured in the Tofa? facility in the northwestern province of Bursa, will be exported to the Mexican market in the initial stage under the name of "Dodge Neon." 

New Fiat model's production starts in Turkey

Tofa?, a joint venture of Turkey?s Koç Holding and Italy?s Fiat Chrysler, has started producing a new Fiat sedan model, Fiat Egea, in the northwestern province of Bursa on Sept. 28 in a ceremony with Koç Holding Chairman Mustafa Koç, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) CEO Sergio Marchionne and Tofa? employees in attendance.
