Largest caravanserai in Anatolia to be restored
The Sultanhanı caravanserai, which is located on the Aksaray-Konya road in Central Anatolia and is reputed as the largest one in Anatolia, will undergo restoration after 60 years.
Sultanhanı was built eight centuries ago by Anatolian Seljuk Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat on the Silk Road to serve as an accommodation and a secure point for those travelling the trade route.

Turkey's protected sites gets reviewed, introduces new categorization
Turkey's 2.5 million hectares of protected sites have undergone a review during a categorization of the areas was replaced by three different categories.
'Green haven' in Black Sea opening to mass housing
The Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ) will construct Ottoman-style buildings in the highlands of the Black Sea provinces.
Illegal buildings in the areas will be demolished and TOKİ will construct arcaded buildings with lifts in their place, including in the famous Ayder Plateau, which is a protected area. The construction process is due to start in spring 2017.
