Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic accepted the resignation of Defence Minister Damir Krsticevic on Friday after a Croatian Air Force training plane crashed at Biljane Donje near the coastal city of Zadar, killing two airmen.

The epicenter of the earthquake was seven kilometers north of Zagreb at a depth of ten kilometers.
Index.hr first announced that an earthquake had killed a 15-year-old child. An ambulance took to the field but the child showed no signs of life. However, the latest information is that the child is alive and doctors are fighting for her life.

The Croatian Defence Ministry said on Monday that a military helicopter had crashed into the Adriatic Sea that morning, killing the pilot.

It said the air force OH-58 D Kiowa helicopter crashed between the island of Zlarin and the coastal town of Zablace near Sibenik. The pilot was confirmed dead while the search for the second crew member was ongoing.

Hina reports that wounded soldiers are the members of the 10th Croatian contingent (HRVCON) which is situated in Afghanistan since March 2019, as a part of NATO Resolute Support Mission, while the members of the armed forces of Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina also belong to this Contingent.

One Croatian soldier has died and two others have been injured after a suicide bomber slammed his motorcycle into a vehicle they were travelling in near a NATO military base on the outskirts of Kabul in Afghanistan, the Croatian Defence Ministry said on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic told the ceremony at the Ministry of Defence building in Zagreb on Sunday that the MiG-21 fighter plane was one of the main symbols of Croatia's 1991-95 'Homeland War'.

Plenkovic said that its return after 28 years of quiet diplomacy and government efforts was a mark of honour for all Croatian veterans and their families.

The defense ministers of Bulgaria and Croatia have agreed to update the bilateral co-operation agreement, reported BTA. 
   ,,We have agreed to prepare a new bilateral co-operation agreement between the two ministries'', Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Krassimir Karakachanov said in a statement, speaking with his Croatian counterpart, Damir Krstičević, in Sofia.

The visit is at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov. The talks will discuss issues related to the deepening of bilateral defense co-operation.

Croatian website Index is reporting this, citing Barak Ravid's article published by Axios, who said this "practically killed" the USD 500 million arms deal.

Ravid - who was the first to report several weeks ago that US-Israeli talks on this issue had stalled - is now citing a high ranking Israeli official involved in the negotiations.

The Croatian navy held a send-off ceremony for the RTOP-41 Vukovar on Monday in front of the barracks in the port of Split.

The Croatian navy boat, with 50 crew members, is to join a NATO operation in the Mediterranean.
