It's Friday 13th, the most cursed day in the calendar - allegedly - where everything is fated to go wrong. However, is the last for 2017. Not only that, but we will soon not meet the fatal combination - until April next year.

2018 will only offer us twice Friday, the 13th - on in  April  and one in July (when it is summer and there is nothing so bad to happen to us).

'Inferno' a great opportunity to revive Turkey's tourism: Association

"Inferno," Ron Howard's new movie starring Tom Hanks and based on Dan Brown's 2013 bestseller, could be an opportunity to revive Turkey's struggling tourism sector and to lure more foreign tourists, Hoteliers Association of Turkey (TÜROB) President Timur Bayındır has said. 

Istanbul's Basilica Cistern on silver screen with 'Inferno'

Istanbul's Basilica (Yerebatan) Cistern, will be on the silver screen all around the world thanks to the film adaptation of Dan Brown's thriller "Inferno." 
The film, which was directed by Ron Howard and premiered in Florence on Oct. 8, will be released in Turkey on Oct. 14.

Crisis averted between the Christian world and Turkey

Here is a piece of news first: There would have been a very serious April 24 crisis between Turkey and the Christian world. The crisis was averted at the last minute. 

Here is what happened: Pope Francis was set to visit Yerevan, Armenia, on April 24. After Yerevan, he was to visit Turkey. However, with Turkey?s initiative, his visit to Yerevan on April 24 has been cancelled. 

Felicity Jones to act in Turkey

British actress Felicity Jones, who was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her role in "The Theory of Everything," will come to Istanbul. She will star in Ron Howard's adaptation of Dan Brown's latest novel "Inferno" as Sienna Brooks. The film will be shot in Florence and Istanbul.
