PARIS - Serbian tennis player Olga Danilovic has got off to a successful start at Roland Garros by defeating Italian Martina Trevisan 6-1, 6-2 in the first round on Sunday.
Danilovic, who is a qualifier, will next face the winner of the all-American tie between Danielle Collins and Caroline Dolehide.

Unseeded Maria Sakkari of Greece delivered a thrilling encore performance to her previous upset over Venus Williams to beat Danielle Collins and reach her first WTA final at the Silicon Valley Classic on Saturday.
Trailing by a set and facing a 4-1 deficit in the second set against Collins, Sakkari completed a shocking turnaround to beat the American 3-6 7-5 6-2 in the semi-final.

Bogdan (25 years, WTA's 90th), 6th seed, won in one hour and 18 minutes against a better ranked player, (24 years, WTA's 53rd), a recent semifinalist in Miami.
