Ratko Mladic’s Health Deteriorating, His Lawyers Claim
Miodrag Stojanovic, a member of Ratko Mladic's legal team, told BIRN on Tuesday that the Bosnian Serb Army commander's health condition was deteriorating in custody at the UN detention unit near The Hague, where he is waiting to be transferred to prison in another country to serve his life sentence for wartime crimes.

Darko Mladic says that they received indications that Ratko Mladic's blood count (CBC test) has drastically deteriorated these days, to such extent that his life might be threatened.

"I'm alive, I swear", Ratko Mladic told his son in a telephone conversation after he was interrupted by a visit of his lawyer in a detention unit, so that he could contact the family and deny false information.
Darko Mladic adds that his father reacted to the news with a joke, and that he was not particularly excited to hear it, or commented further on the fake news.

Ratko Mladic's health is deteriorating - Russians are ready to take him over
According to the paper, Russia is ready to offer medical treatment to him and take all necessary security measures, which was discussed at the UN Security Council session, along with the report on the work of The Hague tribunal, said Gennady Kuzmin, Russia's deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office.

Darko Mladic said that he talked to his father from detention unit and that he is feeling well now.
Mladic got sick during his wife's visit on Wednesday, while she also visited him in the hospital on Thursday.

Health status of General Ratko Mladic is dramatic, but based on his medical documentation submitted to Belgrade one cannot conclude how many strokes he survived. Simply, doctors from The Hague did radiological examination of the head of the former commander of the Army of Republika Srpska without using contrast and the image as such hides more than it shows.
