SHENZHEN - Serbia's Viktor Troicki defeated Spain's David Ferrer 6-3 6-4 in the second round of the ATP tournament in Shenzhen on Thursday and qualified for the quarterfinals of the event.

Troicki reaches second round at Shenzhen tournament
BELGRADE - Serbia's tennis player Viktor Troicki reached the second round of the ATP tournament in Shenzhen, China, after Slovak Martin Klizan retired in the third set on Tuesday.
Klizan decided to quit the match at the point when Troicki had a 3-0 lead in the decisive set. The Slovak player claimed the first set 7-5, while Troicki won the second one 6-1.

Djokovic beats Ferrer in Rome Masters ATP quarterfinal
ROME - Serbia's best tennis player Novak Djokovic qualified for the Rome Masters ATP as he defeated Spain's David Ferrer in the quarterfinal match on Friday, 2-1 (7-5, 4-6, 6-3).
Djokovic, who won the Rome Masters in 2008 and 2011, will cross rackets with Canada's Milos Raonic in the semifinal match as Raonic beat France's Jeremy Chardy in the Friday match, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.
Djokovic beats Kohlschreiber to reach Rome quarter-finals
ROME - Serbia's highest-ranked male tennis player Novak Djokovic reached the quarter-finals of the Rome Masters tournament by beating Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 late Thursday.
In an unusual match - their fourth so far - Djokovic came from behind to beat the current world number 29.
Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Drops to 16th Place
Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov is now sixteenth in the ATP world rankings, losing two positions after he suffered a defeat from Spain's David Ferrer.
The 22-year-old, who last week became Bulgaria's best-ranking tennis player in history, currently has 2040 points.

Djokovic halted in Monte Carlo semis
MONTE CARLO - Serbia's best tennis player Novak Djokovic will not defend the title at the Monte Carlo Masters, after losing to Roger Federer of Switzerland 2-0, in sets 7-5, 6-2 in a semi-final match on Saturday.
Federer thus upped his H2H record against Djokovic to 18-16.

Ferrer Eliminates Dimitrov from Monte Carlo Masters
Grigor Dimitrov lost to Spain's David Ferrer 4:6, 2:6 in the third round of the Monte Carlo Masters.
Despite starting well with a 2:0 lead, Dimitrov struggled to keep up with the aggressive shots of the world number 6 and conceded the first sed 4:6.
