The possibility of a new referendum on voting rules should not be excluded, Desislava Atanasova, an MP from Bulgaria's biggest party, GERB, has said.

She is referring to a referendum petition submitted earlier this year by the team of Slavi's Show, one of Bulgaria's most popular TV shows, in February.

Two options are on the table as nominees of Bulgaria's senior government partner GERB as a new Justice Minister is to be appointed, a GERB official has said.

Hristo Ivanov of Wednesday resigned as Justice Minister amid a dispute with lawmekrs, who revised his proposals for judicial reform.

Desislava Atanasova, MP from ruling center-right party GERB, has suggested that improving the deplorable condition of road infrastructure in Bulgaria's northwestern region, the poorest region in the country and in the EU, is a vital necessity.
