Lajovic, Kecmanovic suffer early Wimbledon exits

LONDON - Serbians Dusan Lajovic and Miomir Kecmanovic are both out of Wimbledon following first round defeats in the men's singles event on Monday.

Lajovic lost to Briton Jan Choinski 5-7, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2, 6-2 after two hours and 37 minutes of play, while Kecmanovic was defeated by Argentine Diego Schwartzman 6-0, 6-3, 6-4 after two hours and six minutes of play.

Perfect Nadal, battling Swiatek into US Open fourth round

Rafael Nadal defeated close friend Richard Gasquet for the 18th time to reach the U.S. Open fourth round as world number one Iga Swiatek made the last 16 for a second successive year.

Four-time champion Nadal took his record over Gasquet to a perfect 18-0 with a 6-0, 6-1, 7-5 victory to stay on course for a 23rd Grand Slam title.

Tecau - Rojer duo advance to Shanghai Masters men's doubles round of 16

Romanian-Dutch duo Horia Tecau/Jean-Julien Rojer advanced on Wednesday to the round of sixteen of the men's doubles event of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Shanghai, featuring total prizes of 7,473,620 US dollars, following their 7-5, 6-3 victory against the pair made up of Diego Schwartzman (Argentina)/Joao Sousa (Portugal).

Tecau-Rojer duo advanced to ATP Masters 1000 Madrid doubles final

The Romanian-Dutch duo Horia Tecau / Jean-Julien Rojer qualified for the doubles final of the ATP Masters 1000 Madrid tennis tournament, with total prizes worth 6,536,160 euro, after defeating the pair made up of Wesley Koolhof (Netherlands) / Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece), with a score of 6- 4, 5-7, 10-5.

Djokovic stunned by Greek teen Tsitsipas in Toronto

Greek teenager Stefanos Tsitsipas secured the biggest win of his career when he sent Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic packing in the third round of the Rogers Cup with a stunning 6-3 6-7(5) 6-3 win on Thursday.

Top seed Rafa Nadal battled past Swiss wild card Stan Wawrinka 7-5 7-6(4) and will next meet Marin Cilic, who took down Argentinian Diego Schwartzman 6-3 6-2.

The Adventure of Grigor Dimitrov in Montreal Ended Ingloriously

Bulgaria's best tennis player Grigor Dimitrov ended ingloriously his participation in the tournament, "Rogers Cup" in Montreal, Canada.

Dimitrov was eliminated in the third round of the tournament by Dutchman Robin Haase, after loss of 6:7 (3), 6:4, 1:6. He did not find his best game in this match and he made first loss of this rival in the meetings between them so far.

Successful Start for Bulgarian Tennis Players at Wimbledon

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov scored a 7:6 (4), 6:2, 6:2 victory versus Diego Schwartzman, Argentine, in the first round of Wimbledon, reported BNR.

In  the second Dimitrov will face Cyprian vet Macros Baghdatis.

On the other side, Bulgarian tennis girl Tsvetana Pironkova won 6:1, 6:4 in the first round of Wimbledon, playing versus Italian Sara Errani.
