BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with North Macedonian PM Dimitar Kovacevski in Belgrade on Friday.

"We agreed that the relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia are the best in modern history. We will continue to work together for the well-being of our peoples," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will meet with North Macedonian PM Dimitar Kovacevski in Belgrade on Friday.

The meeting, to be held in the building of the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic, is scheduled for 9 am, the presidential press office announced in a statement.

"North Macedonia has undertaken the commitment to amend its Constitution to include citizens living within the country's borders who are part of other nationalities such as Bulgarians."

Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia have decided to help each other with energy and food shortages in winter and to ask for help from the EU. This happened at a meeting of the "Open Balkans" regional initiative on Friday in Belgrade.

The Central Council of the ruling Social Democratic Union /SDSM/ in the Republic of North Macedonia unanimously supported the French proposal to start negotiations for the country's EU membership.

The draft proposal France sent to North Macedonia last week to unclog the country's EU accession talks, by removing the Bulgarian blockade over history and identity issues, is to be sent to the parliament, a meeting between the partners in the ruling Social Democrat-led coalition on Sunday decided.

The Assembly of Bulgaria discussed today the decision accepting the proposal of the French Presidency of the EU regarding the negotiating framework for North Macedonia and Albania.
