The Dimitris Kalantzis Quartet will create a Parisian atmosphere with some of the most charming jazz compositions of Michel Legrand at the Literary Society Parnassos (lsparnas.gr).

The respected Dimitris Kalantzis Quartet will be putting a jazzy spin on the work of legendary composer Manos Hadkidakis at the Parnasos Literary Society (tickets from ticketservices.gr) on April 7. The show is based on the successful 2011 album "Mano's," the first jazz record to go platinum in Greece.

The Half Note in downtown Athens presents the Dimitris Kalantzis Quintet in a jazz tribute to Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis. The quintet is made up of Dimitris Kalantzis on the piano, Takis Paterelis on saxophone, Dimitris Papadopoulos on trumpet, Alex-Drakos Ktistakis on drums and Giorgos Georgiadis on bass. Doors open at 8.30 p.m. and the concert starts an hour later.

Jazz pianist and musical arranger Dimitris Kalantzis has teamed up with three talented young vocalists - Monique Kabasele, Eleni-Ermina Sofou and Marissa Athitaki - for an evening of jazz standards and classic Afro-American numbers at the Half Note on Wednesday, January 30. Doors open at 9.30 p.m. and tickets cost 10 and 15 euros.

Convention-smashing high-energy local rock act Kollektiva performs at the Gagarin venue on Saturday, April 8, accompanied by some of the country's most incisive hip-hop talent, including Dimitris Kalantzis (Tsopana Rave), MC Yinka and Psyclinic Tactix. Doors open at 9 p.m.
