Savvopoulos checks out of hospital
Greek singer-songwriter Dionysis Savvopoulos checked out on Monday of the private hospital in which he had been receiving treatment for Covid-19 symptoms over the last few days.
The 78-year-old artist responded well to medication and it was decided to allow him to return home.

Savvopoulos hospitalized with Covid-19
Greek singer-songwriter Dionysis Savvopoulos has been hospitalized in the past few days after contracting Covid-19 for the third time.
Public broadcaster ERT has reported that the 78-year-old artist is currently receiving treatment in a private hospital, with his condition being described as serious.

Singer-songwriter Lavrentis Machairitsas has died aged 63, apparently of heart failure.
Machairitsas, who had been vacationing at his summer home in the area of Ptelos, Magnisia, was transferred to Volos hospital early on Monday morning and passed away at 6.30 a.m.,

Charity Concert | Athens | September 23
Singer-songwriter Dionysis Savvopoulos, along with singer Marina Satti, the band Fones kai Chores and the Alkman Group, among others, will be performing in a charity concert at the Herod Atticus Theater on Sunday, September 23. Proceeds from the event will go toward a campaign for the prevention of gynaecological cancers.

Iphigeneia at Aulis | Zakynthos | July 19
Euripides' "Iphigeneia at Aulis" will be performed at the open-air Municipal Theater of Zakynthos on Wednesday, July 19 as part of the production's summer tour. It is directed by Emilios Heilakis on an adaptation of the ancient drama by Manolis Dounias, with music by Dionysis Savvopoulos. The show begins at 9.30 p.m. Tickets cost 17 euros.

More than 60,000 back food charity concert in Athens
More than 60,000 people packed the iconic Panathenaic Stadium on Wednesday night to see a show titled 'Long Live Greek Song,' organized by the Oloi Mazi Boroume (Together We Can) campaign, launched by Skai TV in response to the country's financial crisis.
