OPLENAC - Serbian Deputy PM and Defence Minister Milos Vucevic, Republika Srpska PM Radovan Viskovic and Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Veteran and Social Affairs Nikola Selakovic laid wreaths at Karadjordje's sarcophagus in the Church of St George at Oplenac, central Serbia, on Thursday on occasion of Serbia's Statehood Day.

IVANKOVAC - The 209th anniversary of the famous Battle of Ivankovac, in which Serbian insurgents won a brilliant victory in their first clash with Ottoman troops, was marked on Monday with a church service and a memorial ceremony held in the Ivankovac memorial complex, situated in central Serbia.

BELGRADE - An exhibition titled Art and the Idea of Statehood opened at the National Museum in Belgrade on Thursday to mark the great Serbian national holiday Sretenje.
