Serbian NGO Wants Life Without Parole for Child Killers
The Tijana Juric Foundation, an organisation named after a murdered teen and which campaigns for the safety of children in Serbia, is due to submit a petition on Thursday in support of giving life prison terms without parole for convicted killers of minors and pregnant women.
SNS wins local elections in southeastern town
Serbia's ruling SNS party has taken 76 percent of all votes cast in the local elections held on Sunday in the town of Bela Palanka, southeastern Serbia.
President of the Municipal Election Commission Dragan Djuric announced this and said the party will have 24 councilors.

Serbian Parliament Adopts 'Tijana's Law'
Serbia's parliament on Thursday amended the Police Act to ensure that the police search for a missing child begins right after parents notify the disappearance, rather than waiting for 48 hours, as was the law until now.
The law change has been named "Tijana's Law" in homage to Tijana Juric, a teenager whose disappearance last July and murder stunned the country.

Bosnia Mourns Victim of Attack in Zvornik
Bosnia's two entities, the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska and the mainly Bosniak and Croat Federation entity, marked the day of mourning on Wednesday for the victim of Monday's terrorist attack in the eastern town of Zvornik.
A policeman, Dragan Djuric, was killed by a gunman and two other policemen were wounded.
