The Bulgarian National Museum of History Displays Rare Exhibits to Celebrate 140 Years of the Constituent Assembly

The National Museum of History (NMH) marks the 140th anniversary of the adoption of the Turnovo Constitution (1879), showing a number of objects for its permanent exposure, which were for the first time or rarely displayed. This was reported by the press center of the museum.

Sofia will have a New Urban Environment

New buildings in the center of Sofia will not be higher than 75 meters. If they are built at the foot of Vitosha Mountain - the maximum admissible height is 15 meters. Levski-CSKA Football Game Affects Sofia Traffic

The upcoming game between the "arch-rivals" Levski and CSKA are resulting in changes to how traffic will be organized for much of Saturday.

Due to the game at Vasil Levski Stadium beginning on 14:30, it is forbidden to stop or park on the bridge in front of the stadium, and also on Gurko Str between Vasil Levski and Evlogi i Hristo Georgievi Blvds, between 12:30 and 16:30 local time.

Ethiopian Man Wins Sofia Marathon, Setting 3rd Best Time Ever

Gudeta Biratu of Ethiopia won the 33rd edition of the International Sofia Marathon held in Bulgaria's capital on Sunday.

With a time of 2 h 15 min 46 s, he has run the 41.195 km distance nearly a minute faster than Samuel Demie, his predecessor in 2015 who also won the race and also came from Ethiopia, thus achieving the third-best time since the event was first held.

Severe Traffic Disruptions on Sunday due to Sofia Marathon

The 31st edition of the Sofia Marathon is taking place in Bulgaria's capital Sofia on Sunday.

It started at 10:00 EEST, but some streets were sealed off due to the event as early as 06:30 EEST.

The race started at the Vasil Levski national stadium, with about 2000 runners willing to cross the 42.195 km distance.
