Serbia Makes Former Belgrade Mayor New Finance Minister
Former Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali will take over as Serbian Finance Minister after he was voted into office by the MPs of the ruling parties.
However, some experts predicted that he will likely act as the long arm his party leader, the Serbian President.

Brnabic has sent her proposal to the National Assembly, which could vote on it as soon as on Monday.
Former Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic resigned on May 7, citing personal reasons.

Serbia's PM to act as finance minister until new one is appointed
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has formally taken over the post of finance minister until a new one is named in succession to Dusan Vujovic, who quit this month, the government said late on May 16.
Serbian Finance Minister Resigns Citing Personal Reasons
Serbian Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic filed his resignation on Monday, saying that the four years he spent in the government is "quite enough for a man to prove himself in a public office".
Serbian media have widely speculated that Vujovic will be replaced by the current mayor of Belgrade, Sinisa Mali, who is leaving his position after being caught up in several scandals.

The newspaper cited an unnamed source to report that it is certain Mali will not remain in his current position, and that the government reshuffle is expected to take place at the same time as the Belgrade City Assembly vote to elect a new mayor.
According to this, Mali could replace either the current minister of economy, Dusan Vujovic, or Agriculture Minister Goran Knezevic.
