Gas interconnector with Bulgaria to start trial operation soon - minister

PIROT - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic announced on Wednesday works on a natural gas measurement and regulation station near Pirot, southeastern Serbia, had been completed and that a gas interconnector with Bulgaria was expected to start trial operation soon.

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic said on Friday Serbia had Hungary's support when it comes to natural gas supplies.

Djedovic Handanovic said this after a meeting with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto.

BAKU - The energy ministries of Serbia and Azerbaijan signed on Wednesday a MoU on deepening bilateral relations in the energy sector and a commercial agreement between the gas companies Srbijagas and SOCAR under which Azerbaijan will supply up to 400 mln cubic m of natural gas to Serbia by end-2024.

NOVI SAD - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic said on Wednesday in Novi Sad the building construction sector was responsible for a large portion of energy consumption and harmful gas emissions and that investing in improved energy efficiency was important not only for resource conservation but also for reduction of costs for citizens and businesses.
