American football stars Lance Briggs, Turk McBride, and Donnie Caldwell, backed by the founder and director of the famed Exit music festival in Serbia, Dusan Kovacevic, have told BIRN that they have already picked a location for growing medicinal marijuana in North Macedonia.

They accused the public service of regularly breaking the law, and blocking the opposition.

None of the opposition leaders who showed up - including Dragan Djilas, Boris Tadic, Zoran Zivkovic, Vuk Jeremic, Sasa Jankovic, and Sanda Raskovic-Ivic - spoke at the gathering.

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic on Friday received Exit Festival founder Dusan Kovacevic and Ivan Petrovic, president of the Exit Managing Board.

Creative industries hold a great potential for the Serbian economy and job creation and further improve the international reputation of Serbia, they agreed.

EXIT has won in the main category in the competition of 350 festivals from more than 35 countries, with over one million votes of the audience and the opinion of an expert jury composed of the most prominent people in the world music industry.

The 2017 edition of the festival, scheduled to take place at the Petrovaradin Fortress from July 5-9, has already set ticket sales records and will feature big-name headliners from every corner of the musical spectrum.

The Serbian government will financially support the EXIT festival for the next six years.

Prime Minister Alekasandar Vucic and Dusan Kovacevic, director of the festival, announced this on Tuesday, Tanjug is reproting.

This year's EXIT festival will bring together over 1,000 artists performing on a total of 30 stages in Novi Sad, Serbia, and Budva, Montenegro, July 9-18.

"The 15th edition of one of the best music festivals in Europe promises to draw the largest crowds in the past decade and the greatest acts ever," EXIT Director Dusan Kovacevic told Tanjug.

NOVI SAD - A total of 16 drama pieces will be performed at the upcoming 60th Sterijino pozorje, with nine plays in the competitive selection and another three in the international programme Circles, the theatre institution has announced.

The festival's selector Marina Milivojevic Madjarev has picked nine plays for the national drama and theatre selection.

BELGRADE - A new political party, the Serbian Homeland Front, was founded in Belgrade on Saturday, with famous dramatist Dusan Kovacevic elected as its president.
