BELGRADE - Brazilian police have arrested the former legislator who led the controversial charge to impeach ex-President Dilma Rousseff on corruption charges.

BRASÍLIA, Brazil - Eduardo Cunha, the former head of the Chamber of Deputies and the leader of the effort that ousted the democratically elected Dilma Rousseff, has been officially removed from his post through a vote by his fellow politicians for his role in the massive Petrobras corruption case.
Brazil ousts lawmaker who pushed for Rousseff impeachment
Brazil's lower house of Congress removed from office Sept. 12 lawmaker Eduardo Cunha, who pushed for the impeachment of president Dilma Rousseff, for hiding Swiss bank accounts.
"I declare lawmaker Eduardo Cunha stripped of office for conduct incompatible with lawmakers' duties," said the decision, read out after 450 votes in favor or his removal, 10 against and nine abstentions.
