USR (Save Romania Union) MP Emanuel Ungureanu on Monday morning went to the General Prosecutor's Office to file a complaint in which he asks the prosecutors to investigate the medical staff involved in the case of the patient who suffered burnings on the operating table at the Bucharest Emergency Hospital Floreasca, for committing the crimes of deceiving another, forgery, use of forgery.

Health Minister Victor Costache announced on Saturday that he will send the ministry's control body to the Bucharest Floreasca Hospital to look into the case of a patient who has reportedly suffered burns to 40 percent of the body while undergoing surgery, and who is now in a serious condition; the case was made public by deputy of the Save Romania Union Emanuel Ungureanu, on his Facebook page.

The Save Romania Union (USR) claims that the National Integrity Agency has not completed the investigation into the wealth of the Chamber of Deputies' Speaker, Liviu Dragnea, PSD leader, although USR filed a notification in this regard a year ago.

Romania's youngest political force in parliament, the Save Romania Union, USR, is holding its first national congress after the December 2016 elections at the weekend.

But much more is at stake than a simple leadership contest, analysts and politicians say.
