A retired British soldier has been deeply moved by the compassionate gesture of children who bid him farewell with flowers and gifts as he was preparing to leave following the completion of his duty as a kitchen manager at a tent city in the quake-hit province of Hatay.

The seabed of the Bosphorus is full of sinkers that have fallen off from fishing rods, causing massive risk to human lives and the ecosystem, a marine biologist has warned.

Retired Colonel Eser ?ahan was found dead on a bank in the Drumul Taberei neighborhood of the Romanian capital, after he was reported to have left his house for a walk.
