Capital Product Partners LP (CPLP), controlled by Greek shipowner Evangelos Marinakis, and Diamond S Shipping (DSS), whose main stakeholder is the WL Ross & Co private investment fund founded in 2000 by US Trade Secretary Wilbur Ross, announced on Wednesday they have reached a merger deal for a new entity whose value is estimated at $1.65 billion.

Shipowner Marinakis expands his media holdings acquiring the Lambrakis group
The historic - albeit financially troubled - Lambrakis Media Group (DOL) is coming under the control of shipowner Evangelos Marinakis, who also has a number of other media outlets as well as a leading soccer franchise, Olympiakos and a second-tier English soccer club, Nottingham Forest.
Breaking: Marinakis reportedly makes highest bid for DOL media group
Greek shipping magnate and owner of Olympiakos football club, Evangelos Marinakis has reportedly made the highets bid to buy out DOL media group. After the bids were opened it was revealed that Mr. Marinakis offered 22,892 million euros, compared to Cypriot Vegata that offered 21 million, while PAOK owner Ivan Savvidis gave 11 million.
Olympiakos owner takes over Nottingham Forest
Greek shipping magnate and owner of Olympiakos soccer club Evangelos Marinakis has bought English team Nottingham Forest, the Championship club said on Thursday.
The takeover was approved by the English Football League despite the fact that Marinakis faces match-fixing accusations in Greece and charges that he is involved in a criminal organization.

Evangelos Marinakis buys out English football club Notts Forrest
Nottingham Forest have been bought by Greek shipping magnate Evangelos Marinakis after his takeover was passed by the English Football League (EFL).
The businessman and Olympiakos owner has passed the EFL’s owners’ and directors’ test.
Marinakis’ buyout brings to an end Fawaz Al Hasawi’s five-year reign in charge of the Championship club.
Monday deadline for first payment of TV license winning bid
The highest bidders for the four TV licences are expected to have paid the first installment of their total bid by Monday.
Two TV license owners pay first installment
SKAI TV and Alter Ego, the company established by shipowner Evangelos Marinakis paid to the General Secretariat of Information on Friday the first installment of their full bid totaling 14,533,333 euros and 24,633,333 euros respectively.
The two companies also submitted relevant documents.
