Some part of a double way in the ancient city of Anavarza, known as the first double highway of the ancient world, will be opened to tourists in a few years Known as the "first double highway" of the ancient world, a columned way in the ancient city of Anavarza, located close to Dilekkaya village in the southern province of Adana, is being unearthed during excavations.

Restoration to start at ancient Anavarza

Archaeological excavations are continuing in the ancient city of Anavarza. The Roman-era ancient city, located close to the Dilekkaya village in the southern province of Adana, is currently hosting a team of 50 people under the scientific consultancy of Çukurova University academic Fatih Gül?en. 

Gül?en said the excavations had been ongoing for two months so far.
