Russia must not escalate tension in Syria after Russian airplanes violated Turkish airspace, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu has said, hours before NATO was set to hold a meeting to discuss developments in Syria.
Kerry discusses Syria with Turkish FM after talks with Russia
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Turkish Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlio?lu held a phone conversation on late Sept. 18, following the latter's talks in Russia on the Syrian crisis. President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an also will pay visit to Moscow this week, as the international community accelerates efforts to find a settlement in Syria with Moscow's cooperation.
Turkey and Germany agree on refugee policy
Turkey and Germany are in full consensus on the refugee crisis, Turkish Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlio?lu has said, adding Germany's views on the issue were the most similar to Turkey's among European countries.
"Germany's attitude should be an example to others in Europe," Sinirlio?lu said, speaking at a press conference with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Turkish FM to pay official visit to Russia
Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlio?lu will pay an official visit to Sochi on Sept. 16-17 following a visit to Azerbaijan, ministry spokesperson Tanju Bilgiç has said.
Speaking at a press conference on Sept. 15, Bilgiç said the visit was part of political consultations between the two countries, but ministers will also discuss regional issues, such as Syria and Ukraine.

US envoy for Syria holds talks in Turkey
U.S. special envoy for Syria Michael Ratney held talks with Turkish Foreign Ministry officials on Sept. 14 in Ankara on issues about the war-torn Syria, according to diplomatic sources.
Ratney was appointed to his position in July and had previously worked for the State Department in the Middle East.

First video released of abducted Turkish workers in Baghdad
A Shiite militia group that abducted 18 Turkish workers on Sept. 2 has released a video of them for the first time, reading the names of the abducted workers and a list of the group's demands, Al Jazeera Türk has reported.
The group calling itself the "Death Squads," listed its conditions to release the workers, addressing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an.
