Finance minister holds meeting with exporters
Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati on Feb. 21 met with delegations of Turkish exporters and automotive distributors.
"We have held an inclusive consultation meeting on our recent policies and actual topics, particularly Turkey Economy Model focused on investments, production, exports and employment," Nebati said in a tweet.

Ovine breeding needed in Turkey to fight climate change
Ovine breeding, rather than bovine breeding, should be carried out in Turkey to save water and fight against climate change, as one of the deepest lakes in the country, Lake Burdur, has dried up by half in over half a century, experts have said.
According to daily Milliyet, which spoke to climate experts, the depth of the lake, which was once 60 meters, is around 18 meters today.
Prestigious jazz festival kicks off in Istanbul
The 31st Akbank Jazz Festival kicked off yesterday with an opening ceremony and concert in Turkey's largest city.

Carmakers dominate Turkey's top exporters list
Accounting for half of the top 10 companies, automotive firms have dominated Turkey's list of largest exporters, the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced on Sept. 18.
Ford was named Turkey's largest exporter in 2020, followed by Toyota Engine Manufacturing Turkey and Oyak Renault.

Turkey's exports to EU top $40 bln in first half of year
Turkey's exports to EU countries this January-June soared 42 percent on a yearly basis to reach $40.86 billion, according to official figures.
The country's overall exports were up 39.9 percent to $104.98 billion in the same period, according to data compiled by Anadolu Agency from Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TİM) figures.
Turkey breaks export record while world economy shrinks
Bucking the worldwide trend of falling exports in recent months, Turkey has hit new export records, one after another, the head of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly said on March 10.
"Closing the first two months of 2020 with new records on a monthly basis was a source of pride for us," İsmail Gülle said at a kitchen and bathroom expo in the commercial capital Istanbul.
Turkish exporters eye over $190 bln in revenue
Turkey aims to exceed $190 billion in exports in 2020, the head of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TİM) said on Jan. 21.
The country's exports, which were around $30 billion in 2000, were $180.5 billion last year, İsmail Gülle noted during the opening ceremony of the 16th International Istanbul Furniture Fair (CNR IMOB).

Turkey targets to reach exports of $190B in 2020
Turkey targets $190 billion worth of exports in 2020, head of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) said on Jan. 9.
The country's exports reached $180.46 billion, hitting a historical high in 2019, according to the TIM data.
İsmail Gülle also said the share of high-technology products is rising in the country's overall exports.
