Mikis Theodorakis remains to lie in state for three days
The remains of Mikis Theodorakis will be lie in state during a three-day popular pilgrimage in the Cathedral of Athens, from next Tuesday until Thursday.
According to information at the popular pilgrimage, all the necessary health safety measures will be observed.
So far, however, the place where the leading Greek composer will be buried has not been announced.

Greek singer George Dalaras joins forces with Estudiantina, a Volos-based ensemble that has been studying and performing the sounds of the Mediterranean for the past 20 years, for two shows at the Iera Odos venue. As his special guest, Dalaras has invited Italian singer and composer Eddy Napoli, as well as local vocalists Thodoris Kontonias and Ria Ellinidou, to join him on stage.

Three heavy hitters from the Greek music scene - George Dalaras, Vassilis Papaconstantinou and Manos Loizos - are joining forces to pay tribute to Greek-Cypriot singer and composer Manos Loizos, an active Communist who died on September 17, 1982 at the age of 44 in a Moscow hospital.

George Dalars to perform in Ankara
The Greek Embassy in Ankara in collaboration with the Middle East Technical University (METU) is organizing a concert by George Dalaras as part of the annual cultural festival held at the university.
On March 25, Dalaras, with his band and Ms. Aspasia Stratigou will first perform songs by Greek composers.

Group wedding ceremony and other events on Lesbos on Valentine’s Day
A two-day festival titled “Saint Valentine of Mytilene 2016″ is to take place on Lesbos during Valentine’s Day. Apart from being one of the most romantic waterfront settings of Greece, Lesbos feels a particular bond with Saint Valentine as the holy relics of the saint have been at the island since 1907.
