Meryl Streep will receive an honorary Palme d'Or at the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival on May 14, organizers said on May 2.
Streep, 74, is one of the most feted actors in Hollywood history, with a record 21 Oscar nominations and three wins.

Baby Yoda gets his own 'Star Wars' movie
Fan favorite Baby Yoda will co-star in a new Star Wars movie entitled "The Mandalorian & Grogu," Lucasfilm announced on Jan. 9.
The film will be directed by Jon Favreau, who created the hit Disney+ streaming show "The Mandalorian," in which the character was first introduced.
