Giorgos Demertzis

It was April 1930 when Nikos Skalkottas presented two new pieces to an audience in Berlin, his Suite for piano and small orchestra and his Concerto for violin, piano and orchestra.

Violinist Giorgos Demertzis and pianist Vassilis Varvaresos perform works by Greek composer Nikos Skalkottas at the Athens Concert Hall on Wednesday, November 23. The concert is set to start at 8.30 p.m. Prior to the concert Demertzis will provide a brief introduction to the evening's program. Admission ranges from 10 to 15 euros (4 euros reduced).
