Lajovic beats Barrere in Banjaluka to set up quarter-final clash with Djokovic

BANJALUKA - Serbian tennis player Dusan Lajovic is through to the Srpska Open quarter-finals after defeating Frenchman Gregoire Barrere 6-3, 6-0 in Banjaluka on Thursday.

Lajovic won after just 64 minutes of play.

On Friday, he will face compatriot Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, who defeated Luca van Assche 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 on Wednesday.

Serbians Lajovic, Djere through to Srpska Open second round

BANJALUKA - Serbian tennis players Dusan Lajovic and Laslo Djere are through to the second round of the men's singles event at the Srpska Open tournament in Banjaluka.

Lajovic defeated compatriot Filip Krajinovic 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 in the first round after two hours and 20 minutes of play.

The match was finished on Tuesday after being interrupted by a rain delay on Monday.

Tsitsipas the first Greek to reach last 16 of a Grand Slam tournament in Open era

Stefanos Tsitsipas has reached the last 16 at Wimbledon, dispatching Italy's Thomas Fabiano in straight sets on Friday.

He has therefore become the first Greek man, at the age of just 19 years, to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam tournament in the Open era.
