Bulgaria's top tennis player Grigor Dimitrov earned a categorical victory 6:2, 6:1 against Yuichi Sugita of Japan in the Masters tennis tournament in Cincinnati, USA, bTV reported.

It took Dimitrov 52 minutes to win the match. Yuichi Sugita, 28, is 46th in the ATP rankings.

Grigor Dimitrov has thus reached the semi-finals in the tournament.

On his way to the quarterfinals of the Cincinnati Open, Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov beat Argentinean Juan Martin del Porto with 6:3, 7:5 for the first time in his career, reported BGNES.

The Bulgarian tennis player had 5 losses in 5 games against this rival until now.

Dimitrov's next rival in the tournament will be Japanese Yuichi Sugita or Russian Karen Khachanov.

This was Grigor's first match against his opponent, and he met a lot of difficulties before he secured his success.

2-year-old Edmund is number 41 in the world rankings. He secured a match against the Bulgarian tennis player after a victory in the first round 6: 3, 6: 1 over the Korean Hion Chun.

After a short break, the Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov  is already in the US, quoted by Nova TV.

''We always talk about how each tournament is different, but it's actually quite the same. It's nice to concentrate on tennis, to get back to the court, this is what I'm expecting after the Wimbledon dropout'', said the Bulgarian tennis player to a journalists.
