Bulgaria's first racket, Grigor Dimitrov, won an excellent victory over a strong rival - the 16th in the world Roberto Bautista Agut, 6:3, 6:4 at the Masters tournament in Cincinnati (USA). The match was from the first round of the race.

The Bulgarian tennis player was in a series of three consecutive losses - at Wimbledon, in Washington and Toronto.

The tennis player from Kazakhstan, who is 38th in the world, turned out to be an insurmountable obstacle for Dimitrov due to his strong serve.

Grigor Dimitrov will start his participation in the Masters tournament in Madrid with a match against the world №53 Lloyd Harris from South Africa.

This will be the first clash between the two, who have never met on the court so far.

For Dimitrov, this will be the first match after his loss to Rafael Nadal in the 1/8 finals of the Masters in Monte Carlo.

The only Bulgarian in the elite tennis Grigor Dimitrov played one of the workst matches not only against Rafael Nadal or someone among the "big three", but also in his career as a whole.

Grigor made more than 30 unforced errors and was defeated in less than an hour by the Matador with 1: 6, 1: 6 in the 1/8 finals of the "Masters" in Monte Carlo.

The only Bulgarian player in the tennis elite Grigor Dimitrov achieved a second victory at the Masters Series tournament in Monte Carlo, defeating with 7: 6 (3), 6:4 the tough Frenchman Jeremy Chardy in 1 hour and 43 minutes of play.

If Rafael Nadal deals with Federico Delbonis later today, we will again see a battle between Grigor and the at the Principality courts.

Grigor Dimitrov returned to the courts with a victory after the injury he received at the Australian Open a month ago. The Bulgarian was leading 6: 4, 3: 0 against Adrian Manarino in Acapulco, when his opponent gave up.

 In the round of 16, the 2014 champion will face Miomir Ketsmanovic. The 21-year-old Serb, 46th in the world, won two sets against Feliciano Lopez.

Qualifier Aslan Karatsev continued his stunning run into the Australian Open semi-finals on Tuesday, beating an ailing Grigor Dimitrov 2-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 to become the first man in the open era to reach the last four in his maiden grand slam.

Grigor Dimitrov caused a big upset on Sunday by sweeping past last year's finalist Dominic Thiem for a place in his fourth Australian Open quarter-final.

Dimitrov, the No. 18 seed, played with great athleticism beat third seed Thiem, who was noticeably low on energy, 6-4, 6-4, 6-0 in just over two hours on Rod Laver Arena.
